Make screens, slides and video with Design
Design is the mode in aixplain Desktop that builds what you describe: screens, slide decks and video. It builds them as files in your project, checks its own work and shows the result beside the conversation. This article explains what Design can make, how it works and how to edit, present and export your work.
What Design can do
- Screens: landing pages, dashboards, app screens, onboarding flows and settings screens, built as working prototypes.
- Slides: slide decks with speaker notes, ready to present.
- Video: animated intros and vertical video.
- Previews: phone, tablet and desktop frames, kept in sync with every edit.
- Exports: PDF, PPTX with editable text, or MP4.
How Design works
- You describe what you need in the chat.
- Design grounds its brief in your project and builds it as files there.
- It renders the result, studies its own screenshots and fixes what it finds, such as clipped controls.
- The preview appears beside the conversation, and you keep refining it in the chat.
Design doesn't invent testimonials or named people in what it makes. Rendering stays inside the design folder and off the network.
Start a design
- Open aixplain and select Design in the Koder, Design and Omni switch.
- Open the project folder where the files should go.
- Describe what you need: what it is, who it's for and what it should say.
- Watch the preview update as Design works, and answer any questions it asks.
Example requests
- "Make a landing page for our scheduling app with a pricing section and a sign-up form."
- "Build a five-slide onboarding deck for new engineers, with speaker notes."
- "Make a ten-second animated intro with our product name."
- "Turn this dashboard into a vertical video for social."
Edit a design
- Point and change: select any element in the preview and say what to change.
- Tweak in real time: adjust colors, fonts and sizes live, then save them to the code.
- Check other screens: switch the preview between phone, tablet and desktop frames.
- Ask in the chat: describe a bigger change, and Design edits the files and renders again.
Present a deck
Play a deck full screen with its speaker notes. Slide thumbnails sit beside the conversation while you work on a deck.
Export your work
Export a design as PDF, as PPTX with editable text, or as MP4.
- An export shows how far it has got and the time left.
- You can cancel an export while it runs.
- An export keeps going if you reload the app.
The design itself is files in your project, so you can open, change or commit them like any other file.
Pricing and usage
Design uses the model you pick, billed the same way as the rest of the app: aixplain models draw on your team's credits, a connected plan counts against its limits, your own provider bills you directly and local models cost nothing beyond your hardware. See Account, plans and billing.
Limitations
- Design checks its work with a model that reads images, so it may switch away from a model that can't.
