Office of Development Affairs follows the news that matters, in Arabic and English
Media Monitor, a set of agents aixplain built on its OS, reads the sources the office picked and turns them into daily reports in text and audio, on a dedicated aixplain OS.
The Office of Development Affairs (ODA) sits within the UAE Presidential Court. Its leadership needs to know what is being said about the issues it follows, in Arabic and in English, every day. Since 2025, Media Monitor has done the reading. It is a set of agents aixplain built on the aixplain OS, and it runs on a deployment of the OS dedicated to the office.
The challenge: too much to read, every morning
The coverage that matters to the office is spread across many news sources, in Arabic and English. Reading them, screening what is relevant, tagging it by topic and tone, and condensing it into a brief leadership can read at the start of the day is a team's daily work.
Leadership also wanted the brief in more than one form: a written report, and an audio version to listen to.
And the office needed to stay in charge of the result: what goes in, in what order, and how it reads.
Why aixplain: agents built on an OS the office owns
- Arabic and English. aixplain builds for Arabic speakers as a design input, with English alongside, from the sources to the report.
- Built on the OS. Media Monitor is made of agents, tools and pipelines on the aixplain OS. When the office asks for a change, it goes into the system that is already running.
- Its own deployment. Media Monitor runs on a dedicated aixplain OS for the office, under the office's rules.
The solution: Media Monitor
It watches. Media Monitor follows the news sources the office picked, through licensed news feeds, and checks them for new articles through the day.
It reads and sorts. Agents screen each article, tag it by topic and tone, and track how narratives move over time.
It reports. Each day it assembles a report that quotes the opening of each article word for word, with weekly and monthly reports on top. The daily report also comes as audio, read in short segments in the style of the office's official audio briefings.
The office edits. ODA's team adds articles from its own documents and reorders the report. Its feedback goes into the running system: after each review round with the team, aixplain adjusts how the report is sourced, ordered and read aloud.
The rollout: built with the office
aixplain built Media Monitor with ODA and tested it with the office's team before handover. The team was trained in March 2026, and the system moved into its support phase. aixplain and the office meet regularly to review the reports and decide what changes next.
What's next: more work on the same OS
Media Monitor is one solution on the office's aixplain OS. The same deployment can run the office's next agents, under the same rules: every agent answers to an owner, inspector agents check every run, and every run is on record.

aixplain is the operating system for accountable AI agents you own. Organizations run more of their operations and services on agents, on any model and any server. Every run is checked against policy, and every agent answers to an owner.
